Herbology 101 with Robert Rogers is a grounded, story-led introduction to plant medicine that helps you reconnect with the healing intelligence of the land—without rushing, commodifying, or turning herbalism into a checklist. Guided by Robert’s decades of lived practice (from pioneering organic food work in the 1970s to formative time in Peru and a lifetime of teaching), the course invites you to approach plants as allies, not products—learning at the pace of relationship, seasonality, and real life.
Across six modules, you’ll build a practical foundation (mindset, ethics, energetics, tools, and safety), then meet key herbal allies through the lens of body systems—nervous system support, immunity, digestion, respiration, and external care—while learning how to prepare remedies in your own kitchen. The final arc brings it all into integration: creating daily rituals, following an “herbal year,” journaling your body’s responses, and ending with Robert’s core teaching—start with one plant. Not to “master” it, but to live with it long enough that it becomes part of your rhythm, your story, and your way of being in relationship with the place you call home.

Robert has been a student of plant medicine most of his adult life. He is a professional member of the American Herbalist Guild and author of over 50 books on medicinal plants of Western Canada. Robert has a Bachelor’s Degree in Botany. He has taught plant medicine for over 40 years and is an avid fan of our indigenous plants and mushrooms. Robert has had a long career in the alternative health field. He was a clinical herbalist for over 18 years (retired). He works as a consultant to various boards and industries advising growers and creating herbal formulas.
